Gas Tank Skid Plate

There is a difference between the steel tank and plastic tank found on the newer jeeps, i think the plastic tank is a bit lower. For 25 bucks, i'd give it a shot, you can always make a drop bracket for it to be a bit lower out of some stock from home depot.
 
I believe you will have to slightly modify to fit on the late model. But for the price not a bad deal.
 
No, it won't fit as is. The tanks are different shapes, widths, and depth.
 
I made mine fit. I just had to open up the rear of the skid by cutting the welds that hold the sides to the bottom. Worked sweet.
