I am re-gearing to 4.56, but have the low (numeric) break carriers holding my current 3.55 setup. I want to pick up the high break open carriers so I can transfer my aussies in with the new 4.56s.

My question is: if I am looking at used parts, maybe with the gears removed, how do I know the bare carrier sitting in a box at the back of some guy's garage is for the high split gears? Part number? Bolt pattern?

Sorry, I searched be came up dry on both google and naxja.

Thank in advance for the help!

Why not just buy a new one? They're fairly cheap, especially compared to the cost of the gearing itself.

Good point, but that $120 would be more like $180 up here in Canuckistan, once you add on taxes, etc. I figure some people will have them laying around for free or cheap, so why not? I will buy new if I have to, though.

pretty sure you have to measure them. the distance from the ring gear mounting surface to the end of the carrier is different for the breaks. look and yukon gears site the list the differences somewhere
