xj retrofit prjectors

Very cool! I'm currently running JW Speaker LED headlights and really like them, but always wanted to run a set of nice projector headlights. Can't wait to see how they turn out for you! Please post up pics as you can.

Yeah I gotta shim the hotspot and get alignment done.
and make the 2nd one.
then ill get them mounted and some pics of the beam.
So ready to get rid of these candles people claim are headlights.
Tried Silverstars. Absolute Trash.
Tried upgrading wiring to lights. No change.
Tried Autopals with both halogen- eventually running HID's but got tired of blinding people.
Now I'm doing it right. These should actually create a proper beam.
 
Sounds like we've been down a similar path when it comes to lighting upgrades... I finally splurged on a set of JW Speaker LEDs and am pretty happy. HID w/ Proper Projector lenses are probably the best overall light output but I didn't take the time to make some like you're doing.
 
Ran into a slight problem. The projector extends to far out the back of the bucket.
Gonna just cut a slit in the front valence or maybe use a step drill bit.
either way need more room lol
 
Cut a hole using a few drill bits then a step drill bit. First light installed. Need to adjust it when the sun goes down but for now looks good

Finally finished it. They are a tad more aligned now. But I can get used to this. People can actually see at night with headlights ??!?!?
