Change axle fluid using a pump

Not a good idea, the purpose of changing it is to remove any contamination in the housing and you can't do that without removing the cover, draining it, wiping it out with rags and spray cleaner. The pump is used for refilling.

The Jiffy Lube type places use a pump, for wheelin, or hard use its a poor idea imo, I would rather drain it completely, inspect everything, then seal it up again, and use a pump to add fresh oil.....ymmv

I was wondering how places like Jiffy lube offer this service but do no mechanical work. It has to be by a pump. no way they have gaskets.
you'd trust a place like that to do proper work? Anyways popo it open, and use a gasket maker to make a new one and you're all set. It doesn't take that much more time to do it.
