Cutting Sheet Metal

Found the time to cut and fold the rear quarter panels. Followed this thread. http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=29750&highlight=cut+quarter+panels%27 Thank you Freerider. I realized that the thread started in July, 2004 and that he has a XJuggy on Tons, 42's, Hydro, etc. now. I paused and thought to my self that cutting this little sheet metal could be the point of no return!:helpme:

Here's a few pictures of the carnage.

I installed quarter guards as well. Thanks to jeepme (Jeff) for the deal.

It would have been better if I did this before all the damage.

Looks like you did a nice clean job of it. You know you're going to dent that bit of body hanging below the quarter guard now don't you?

Thanks, the bumper will wrap around and protect the area. Kind of a slider for the lower quarter panel.

Ahh, sweet. I didn't even realize the whole cut corner thing was an option (much less that it had aftermarket bumper support) back when I bought my bumper with built in lower corner guards. Had I known then what I know now, I might have made a different decision. I still love my bumper, think it is a work of art. I'm just not sure it is going to slide off as easily as it slid on before our trip...
