Question RING & PINION FOR 38.5 TIRES

Hi Im new in the forum, I have a 1999 xj, , with 6.5 long arm suspension from rough country, 9,000 warn winch, I will be swaping a front ford dana 44 and a gm 9.5 ( 14bolt) rear with 37 or 38.5 inch tires ( maxxis trepador competition)

Stock 4.0
AW4 auto Trany
NP242 t/c

Which gears do you recomend me 5.13 or 5.38

I would go 5.38, since this rig seems to be a trail toy. Also 5.38's allow you to run 40's in the future since you'll already be at 38's.

Yes, it will be just for off road, that it is what Im planning in the future go to 40s,

Also, here in my country we do just mud here we donot have rocks for rockcrawling, just off road in to the forest and jungle, big and deep swamps, river and a lot of muddy hills

I am thinking 5.38 but Iwill preciate your remcomendations and comments.
