Will D44 gears fit in my XJ D44

Will dana 44 gears from any D44 fit in my XJ D44? I have a scout D44 rear end and was going to steal the gears from it if they will work(if no one has any they need to get rid of).I am getting a XJ D44 housing with no gears and axles. I need everything so will D44 gears from anything work I am looking for 3.55 or higher numbered gears if any one has some or know where some are. I also need axles.

Yes, they will work just fine. Depending on how long they have been in service in the Scout, you may have a helluva time getting them to set up correctly, and not be howling banshees at high speeds/loads.

Different center sections pattern gears differently, and swapping from center section to center section is usually a nightmare.
