been a few since I have been on here. I starting to work on the XJ again. Got parked because bad brake lines. Anyway, I would like to remove the ABS. Could somebody provide me with a few pictures of how the lines go without abs? Thanks a lot.

I didn't do anything on mine but remove all the electrics.

Pulling the ABS fuse deactivates the ABS and will eliminate any codes.
If you are replacing the brakes lines, a kit for an non-ABS XJ is necessary if the ABS pump and valve body are removed.

The wheel sensors can removed or left in place.

On my '98 I just removed all the wheel sensors and pulled the ABS fuse when I swapped the D35 with a c8.25. No issues.

good afternoon guys. Thanks for the response. That's exactly what I'm doing getting rid of 35 and putting in 8.25. Glad to hear I can just disable it. I only have one bad line. I thought of you have to run all new ones.

Exactly what I did. No need to mess with the lines at all, though eliminating the abs modulator could make brake bleeding easier if air ever got that deep into the hydraulic system, based on stuff I’ve read.
