I just picked up a 86 s-1o 4cyl, for 100 bucks off my buddy and threw a used junkyard starter in it for 15 bucks. When i was tightening the ignition wire, i twisted the f@#$in ''copper'' bolt but managed to stop before i broke it clean off. So now, the wire jumps around and sparks like crazy, my question is can i just soder the wire strait to the ''copper'' bolt thanks

Yep, but I hope that starter lasts as long as you don't want to buy another starter. Replacing It will be fun.

On second thought, you may melt the insulating inner liner that separates the coil from the wall of your solenoid or starter. Be careful.
