03 WJ 4.0 connect to 01 XJ AX4

I am about to start a motor swap and was wondering if a 03 grand cherokee (WJ) 4.0 will mate with a 01 cherokee (XJ) AX4 auto transmission? There is slight differences in the 4.0 motor from the XJ to WJ but it looks like it should connect fine. The WJ was mated to a 42RE auto transmission.

I meant a AW4 transmission....EDIT

Yes, it will make to the transmission, but be advised the motor mounts and the accessory mounts are different on the blocks.
