Will the axle shaft from a 2006 Wrangler Rubicon fit into an XJ D44?
I was looking at one that seem to be a bit stouter from the splines out,... but then I am not sure. I have not seen the shafts since 2006...

It is said to have 30 splines which is what I need. It also have the bearing and retainer plate that go along with disk brakes.

Quadratec seems to think they are interchangeable.I think the retainer plate is different though, which is why this kit doesn't include that or have the bearings pre-pressed on. I'm not sure if the shaft itself is thicker, but the shafts usually don't break in the middle. Also don't forget that passenger and drivers sides are different lengths.

The 2007+ D44s are beefier and higher spline count.

Thank you. I will go ahead and get it ready for installation.
