HD Transfer Case Shift Linkage's from Boostwerks!

UPDATE! Our Gen 2 Kits are now available. They include a machined 303 SS turnbuckle to allow for easier length adjustments.

Toss your OEM linkage in the trash where it belongs! Our linkage is an inexpensive, and easy to install kit that provides solid shifts from your 231 or 242 TC all while retaining the factory shifter.

The kit is a heavy duty replacement linkage which vastly simplifies and improves the shifting of the 231 transfer case.

Simple and robust, this linkage will greatly improve shifting function and reliability. Manufactured from a combination of zinc plated and stainless steel components the kit is likely to outlast your rig!

From $42.98

Dang, that's a sweet product at a smokin' price!

If I hadn't already done this mod myself, I'd be purchasing this Boostwerks linkage kit.

Simple as:
unbolt old linkage
throw
install new linkage
wheel.

Re: HD 231 TC shift linkage from Boostwerks!

Count me in for the 242 version.

Re: HD 231 TC shift linkage from Boostwerks!

waiting for the 242 kit as well

Re: HD 231 TC shift linkage from Boostwerks!

Definitely interested in 242 version. What is the difference?

Re: HD 231 TC shift linkage from Boostwerks!

I'm trying to figure out why this wouldn't work on a 242...

Re: HD 231 TC shift linkage from Boostwerks!

just couldn't come to walk away from this offer. just ordered one, cant wait to get it and throw it in!

The 242 simply requires more throw from the shift arm than the factory shifter allows. To remedy this we have an extension tab that will bolt onto the shift arm. I'm currently working on cutting the tabs so we should have them soon.

Thanks again for the orders everyone!

231 kits In stock and ready to go!

Re: HD 231 TC shift linkage from Boostwerks!

Would this be a good option for someone converting 2wd to 4wd? I feel like this would minimize the amount of parts I need

Re: HD 231 TC shift linkage from Boostwerks!

It would be a better option than getting the whole factory linkage, that's for sure.

This totally simplify's the garbage jumbled mess of a linkage that comes from the factory. The factory t-case linkage reminds me of 80s VW shift linkages. horrible.

Re: HD 231 TC shift linkage from Boostwerks!

Just got mine in! MUCH better.

Re: HD 231 TC shift linkage from Boostwerks!

Installed mine yesterday, chose to abandon in place the two brackets because I didn't want to remove the belly pan, driveshaft, drivers seat and carpet, but everything fit nicely and the shifting is so smooth now. I assume the four plastic plugs go I the holes of the removed floor bracket?

Good to hear and thanks for the review as well! You are correct about the plugs as well. They're cheap enough that we decided to throw them in the kits even though most people will probably leave the bracket as you've done.

Re: HD 231 TC shift linkage from Boostwerks!

If some idiot put a 5.2 Magnum in their rig and wanted a shift linkage made for a 5.2/46RH/231 combo what information would I need to figure out which kit I could use?

Do you have the engine/trans/TC installed? If so, some pictures of the shifter area might help. Otherwise I really have no clue.
