Inner Rocker Panels

I plan on cutting out my rusty rockers and doing the 2"x6" mod, also will be doing the floor pans at the same time. I have holes in what I believe to be are the inner rocker panels. I really cannot find any information about replacing these. I'm assuming that I have to use some of the inner rocker panel to weld to the bottom of the 2"x6". I pretty much have no metal from the floor pan out. Any hints tips or advice. Thanks

damn. you're gonna have to cut back far enough to find something to weld to. what's the frame rail like? but would be a starting point

do you have any pictures, that will help considerably for those that have good knowledge on something like this.
