Transfer Case Noise

After the e-locker and boostwerks linkage was installed, I did some testing in 4-lo to make everything was sound. After about 20 mins of that, I drove home.... I'm not sure when I noticed it, but now there seems to be a whirling rotational noise coming from the transfer case. It's not super loud and does not sound bad but it is there... its quiet and gradually comes about around 30mph and stays the same tone anything above that. Any idea's what it could be?

Take the linkage back off and drive it with the case manually shifted into 2wd

Ugh... adjusted too tight? I'm trying to understand how that could be the problem.

Linkage could be holding the transfer case not 100% in the correct range. Sort of like on the edge of shifting so the shift forks are constantly rubbing. I've found that problem when I put a 242 in my ZJ. The stock 249 shifter was most likely used only once and it would hold the linkage too tight.
