I bought a Harmon Kardon Drive & Play, and one of the wires needs to be connected to the ignitions ACC terminal. I have absolutely no idea how to do this, so can someone guide me through this?
Here is link that give the color and function of the wires for stereo, alarms and cruise control. I think they mean you want a wire that is switched on and off with the ignition switch/key. Go to the hardware store and tell them you want a crimp on automotive wire tap.
Thaaaaat is exactly what I need, thank you. The only thing is, how do I get the steering column apart to get to the wires? I pulled the whole dash off, and took the two screws out of the bottom of the column, and still couldn't get it apart.
The covers between the steering wheel and the instrument panel are held on by three screws on the bottom. Once you remove the screws you may have to tug gently on the covers or use the tilt to reposition the steering column.
