Here are a few photos of my cherokee i recently almost finished (when are they actually finished?). Im trying to figure out the best way to put removable doors or some sort of soft top around it to use in the winter. Any thoughts?

Only mostly dead.

Waiting for Miracle Mac to come up with a Miracle Pill.

Well dang. Ive found some very handy information on forums in the past. Guess that is no more

Information is still largely here. Largely. Missing photos and broken links being a growing part of the picture.

And questions still get answered. You just might have to wait a couple days.

That looks like a fun project. We'll just finish installing the parts from 4Wheelonline onto the truck and we'll see if the forgotten cherokee could turn into a toy like that.

Is this forum dead or is my trash just not very interesting?

Nice tube work! This forum really went down like 2 years ago.

Are you planning on tying the cage into the front of your XJ? Seems like there would be a lot of significant structural gains by doing that.

You cut off the top and removed the sides just to ask how to add them back on? Seems odd.

Just take the old doors off and extend them out, or get some fabric doors from a TJ and fabricate up some mounts. As for a top go to a canvas company and have them make you one. Not cheap, but it's probably better than trying to get a bikini top to work. Some place that does convertible tops should be able to make you something.

the fact that we can't edit posts is trash. Though I think your build is sweet what did you bend and cope joints with.

Noone posts in this section I just post in the modified section cause this place has dried up like old popcorn fart, stinky

theres a company local that builds canvas tents, sheep hearder hunting type tents, wall tents. Look for a something like that. Im sure they could fix it up.

Yes, that would be very odd to do. I rolled the jeep while wheeling and crushed the roof and windshield, so chopped it off.

The tubing is 1.75x.12 dom that I bent with a homemade bender a buddy and I made. It uses a trick tools die and harbor freight air over hydro ram.

Ill look into an automobile upholstery shop and see if they can make something. If that fails I’ll make one myself with some canvas. Here’s the full windshield and finished roof.

I plan to tie the front into the cage at some point but this is good for now.

I can see them.

Looks like plexiglass or Lexan. Nice sunroof right down the middle.

Interesting windshield retainment. Is that a latch to remove it or do you just unbolt the whole thing?

Got the Jeep winterized! Driver and passenger door can be removed in 20 seconds. The back is a simple canvas tarp ziptied to the rollcage.
