Standards of Living...

Its interesting that we are all over the world, and a XJ is the only thing that links us "Jeepers" in here together...I am studying and working in politics here in Ontario Canada, I just want to compare prices and standard of living/quaility with the people in here, whats your situation?

City - Hamilton, Ontario, (Canada) Steel Town with 500,000 people
4 Murders this year to date
Gas is at 79.9 cents a liter (Today) averages 69-80 cents/liter
Cable TV and interenet access. $90.00/mth
Monthy insurance (29yr old) $80.00 month 1,000,000 liablity,
comp, collison.
Property tax 2,000square feet house - $2900/yr all incl.
Licence sticker (Jeep) $74.00/yr.
Provincal Tax (State) 8%
Federal Tax (GST) 7%
McDonalds Meal $5.69 average
32" BFG MT's $190.00ea
RE 6020 3.5" Lift $450.00
Skyjacker Hydo Shocks $50.00ea
2004 Gran Cherokee Laredo $31,998 from Chrysler
Health Care (Hospitals) $0
Education is paid 75% by the Government for Colleges and Universities
Education is 100% paid for elementry schools (on the property taxes)
City tax $0
Speeding tickets eg: 10-20 k/m over = $110.00
Minimun Wage $7.15/hr
Working at Ford approx $30.00/hr
If you made the minimum wage you would pay approx $600 in federal
taxes $0 in provincal (state) and get a tax rebate 4 times a year.
Temperature today - 90, and 80 in our arctic (yellowknife) and 75 in our extreme arctic...

so whats life like in you neck of the woods?...

City - Oceanside CA USA, beach town with somewhere around 300,000 people plus 60,000 Marines and family living aboard Camp Pendleton
I have no idea about level of murders
Gas is at 2.07/gallon
Cable TV and interenet access. $90.00/mth, close to that here too
Monthy insurance (21yr old) $190.00 month 15/30k liablity,
comp, collison. including multicar discount, married and 2 drivers (also have a 96 Nissan PU w/just liability)
Property tax don't know
Licence sticker (Jeep) $93.00/yr.
Provincal Tax (State) ?%
Federal Tax (GST) ?%
McDonalds Meal $5.69 average
32" BFG MT's $152.00ea
RE 6020 3.5" Lift $450.00
2004 Gran Cherokee Laredo $31,998 from Chrysler haven't checked recently
Health Care (Hospitals) $0 (I'm military)
Education is paid gov't gives scholarships sometimes but that's it
Education I think we have school tax
City tax $0
Speeding tickets eg: 10-20 mph over = $85.00
Minimun Wage $6.15/hr
Working for gov't (in military) approx $13.20/hr at 4 yrs
Temperature today about 70-80

comp, collison. including multicar discount, married and 2 drivers (also have a 99 Chevy Cav.)

McDonalds Meal $5.69 average

Education-student loans, Fed. Loans

City tax $???? Township tax depending on township

Minimun Wage $6.75/hr I believe
Working as an Insurance Agent-make enough
Wife is a graphic design/web designer 15-25hr.
Temperature today about 83-88

USAREUR updated sticker for the jeep...free
gas per liter on AAFES.....59.1 cents
insurance.....132.00 a month (full coverage on jeep)
home in WA:

plate sticker: 33.00 a year
cj (dont know yet)
tax 7.0%
