Got some more wire, and some more done. I need to replace the rubber straps with some springs... Maybe add some paint.
![]() ![]() ![]() This is how I decided to keep things lined up.... ![]() It works... On aluminum cans any way..... ![]() Down to about 1/8th of an inch. ![]() |

That BOOO is well deserved. I think it olny appropriate for you to exPRESS your sentiment. That's a lot of weight (we bill by the pound), with the cost of steel it kind of makes a H-F unit enticing. What size wire did you use? |

No, I'm recovering from knee surgery. I wasn't to go to work, Doc said nothing about not going to the garage...... 66% done with the plate break that goes along with this press. But I was tired, so I just came inside without taking photos.... |

I'm still trying to wrap my brain around the GMAW process, still playing around with it. I have to get used to how high the bead sets. I work outdoors so it's all SMAW; 70 series for the tensile strength. We use a flux-core wire for sheet work. I think it's .078, they decided .045 wasn't heavy enough. Now, go take your pills and behave. ![]() |
