Driveshaft length manual vs. auto
I was in an accident last night with my Jeep, and although it probably won't be a total loss, I'll probably sell it off after it's fixed up and buy a different one. I'm thinking of getting an automatic instead of a 5 speed this time. I already have the AA SYE in my 5-speed XJ with a new rear driveshaft. Will I be able to transfer this over to the new one with an automatic? Any difference in pre '97 or post '97 as far as length and all that?

All MT DS were longer than the AT ones. YOu could get away with it, if there is enough slip built into your old DS. You can always get it shortened, it cheaper that way too.
