There were a bunch in Germany for awhile and then a bunch in Russia (mostly stolen from western Europe).
In the early 90's there were a bunch in Saudi Arabia, they must have bought most of the production run in the early 90's and/or from licensed assembly centers like Austria.
The Saudis actually gave a bunch to the US Army and Air Force (and/or they lifted them) when they redeployed back to Europe (most every General had his own top of the line XJ). There were near new XJ's abandoned all over Saudi Arabia for awhile. They just park them and go buy a newer car. Saudi Arabia is one of the few places you can park a car (or leave it on the side of the road) and come back months or years later and find it still in the same spot, not many thieves there.
