If a Jeep has a broken power steering reservoir and won't hold fluid, outside of possibility of damaging the pump, are their other concerns with driving it a short while (8 miles of backroads) to reposition the Jeep to a new location?

How fast does the fluid run out?

Can you cover/plug the leak to ensure the reservoir doesn't run dry? Or, at least doesn't fling oil everywhere?

Getting oil all over the belt could affect other accessories.

It will drain in about two minutes. The vehicle had a collision on the left front corner and the reservoir cracked.

If the pump locks up it will toast the belt. After that...

Use putty to seal crack/hole, then fill.
