Modified Front Axle, Hubs, etc...

My 1990 Cherokee had a lot of modifications done by prior owner. I am in need of finding out what parts are what, what part numbers are for replacement bearings, seal and such. Also Id like to know if any of these modification parts came stock on other vehicles such as a Wangler or what ever, as that would help me in ordering replacement parts.

For the front I have the stock Dana 30 housing. An ARB locker. I have Warn Premium Manual Hubs, 5x5.5 in lug pattern. The outer or stub axles are 30 spline, they have a U Joint knuckle, the cups on these UJoints are 1.19 inch O.D. The inner axles are 27 spline.

What if any stock vehicle are the these parts from?

What is the UJoint part ID for ordering a replacement? ie 1.19 inch cup outer diameter.

What about bearing part numbers?, Oil seals?

I have no instruction for the hubs, any source online for them?

I probably need new stub axles too, bearing race is worn for the hub needle bearings.

None of what you speak of are factory parts. Your going to have to go to each manufacturer for the individual part #'s.

I had really wanted warn hubs for my 98 XJ. The idea of all that front drive train stuff not turning while putting down nearly all my mileage on the roads appealed to me. So I read those conversion pages. No longer interested.

Lots of shops carry these locking hub kits, so you shouldn't have trouble finding replacement parts.

I have a pair of new-in-box Dana/Spicer Dana 30 Oil Seals that fit 27 Spline shafts that I'll make you a deal on. I mis-ordered them, as I run 30 Spline chromoly shafts.

That 5x5.5 hub kit was probably from Warn. They sold it to yukon who has changed some of the parts, but the wear parts should be the same.

I'll warn you now the grease seal that goes on the inside of the hub is a non stock item *everywhere*. That said, its easily available online, I'd order up a handful of extras and keep them in a drawer somewhere. Usually takes a week to get them when you find you need them.
