1998 2.5 xj lower radiator hose

Does anyone know where to find a lower radiator hose for a 98 xj with a 2.5? Rockauto, napa, etc. all sell a lower hose thats for a 4.0 and doesnt fit the 2.5 since the front of the engine is farther from the radiator. The only place i've found the correct one is on ebay for 100 bucks and the seller claims "very rare". I'm not ready to pay 100 bucks for a radiator hose.

Find a piece of 1.5" aluminum tubing, cut the hose and splice in the tube......it's done all the time.

The hose is made to go around the steering box, so its not that easy. Theres nothing out there thats even close to what I need. I found one that is for a right hand drivr or something like that, but its almost a mirror image. I thought i could cut it in the middle and spin it 180 degrees and splice it with a piece of exhaust tubing or something, but all the bends are too different.

Take your hose to NAPA or other and ask to go the wall where all the hoses are hanging and compare and see if you can find one that is close.

You might find one of those universal flexible hoses
that will fit. They come in several lengths and end
sizes.
