AMC recommended Champion, and I think ChryCo recommended either Champion or NGK (the latter would be Mitsubishi's influence...)

I don't have the plug numbers handy at the moment. However, given the fact that I don't personally like Champions in any larger than a lawnmower (bad experience some 20-odd years ago...) I stick to Autolite or Autolite platinum with consistently good results in pretty much everything.

Re: spark plug?

If you perform a SEARCH, you'll see that a lot of XJ owners have had very good luck with plain old Champion truck plugs.

Re: spark plug?

Most recommend champion truck plugs, personally i have always gone with regular NGK copper plugs in all my cars/trucks. Been running them w/o a problem. Any decent copper plug is fine, and make sure the gap is good.
