on my 2000 xj 4.0 litre once it gets up to about 220 degrees it spits and sputters but still runs and once i get moving it seems fine till i am stopped for a short time. then it does it all over again. i was inspecting it some today with some other guys and we noticed a greasy film on teh block just under the head gasket and when we smelled some of it it smells like antifreeze, and then i noticed that the antifreeze level has gone down sufficiently. i am wondering if these motors have a problem with warping heads and if this sounds like it could be a worped head if so what is a good replace ment to look into? thanks again for the help, you guys have saved me in the past and will again.
