Upgrade a Power Steering Pump

Hi all,

I have been looking for a while on a write up for a power steering pump swap, but haven't been able to find one anywhere. I have an 89 4.0 and the power steering pump needs to be replaced and since it is lifted with 37's I was thinking of going to something with more power. Short of going to PSC and paying $600 for a kit, is there something else out there that can possibly be thrown together in a junkyard? Or at least at Napa for less than the PSC kits?

Search for a WJ Grand Cherokee Pump swap on here, I read about it last week.

Search power steering upgrade. there is alot of information out there. I just picked up a new oem pump from an 01'-04' 4.7 v8 Grand. Thought I'd try it out, but I haven't gotten around to putting it in yet.

looked at that, hard to find the definitive answer for the 89 model, damn old rigs!!!
