KORVA (Keystone Off-Road Vehicle Association) is doing a "Snow Ride" at Rausch Creek, Saturday January 17th.

For this trip, we will be running two guided groups - "Stock" and "Intermediate/Advanced". As is typically the case with our rides, you choose the group that best fits your vehicle and comfort level.

The “Stock” group is targeted at stock or near-stock 4wd vehicles, first-time drivers, or anyone who is simply looking to have a relaxing, scenic day in the woods. There should be zero chance of vehicle damage in this group, and no difficult obstacles.

The “Intermediate/Advanced” group is intended for mild-to-moderately modified 4wd vehicles, and drivers who are looking for a little more excitement and challenge. While there won't be any hardcore rock crawling or extreme terrain, there will be areas that need to be attacked a little more assertively to get through. While not likely, the potential exists for vehicle damage. A completely stock vehicle with a skilled driver could probably run in this group, assuming they have an open mind about possible damage to their vehicle.

Being that this ride takes place during the coldest part of the winter, we DO NOT run groups for the Rail Buggies or Rock Crawlers on this trip. (Frankly, being on top of a mountain with no windshield and no heater in January is pretty brutal... instead of freezing halfway to death, we recommend calling up a friend with a 4wd and introducing them to the joys of off-roading).

This year, as an added bonus, we are cooking a cauldron of soup for participants to enjoy and help warm up at the end of the ride.

Details for the ride can be found on the event page - https://www.facebook.com/events/672063602890979/

Traditionally, we have a pretty big turnout for the “Snow Ride”, and it’s always a great time. This is a great trip for introducing someone to the fun of using their 4wd vehicle off-road! Any questions, just let me know.

Hope to see everyone there!
