D44, no breather

well we just finished my axle swap in the rear, and the d44 doesnt have any sort of breather hooked up yet, would it be wise to not drive it until i do get one in there? or would i be fine for a day or 2 of use

if its like my xj44 you got a plastic peice that fits in a hole, an inch away from where the brake line block is. i just broke myne. goin to chromoly shafts and im gonna drill and tap a peice.
