Tentatively in...doubt I make the preregistration tho...

I'm off that weekend, and a new place to wheel sounds fun.

mac 'never even heard of this event' gyvr

This looks interesting. We might be in for this. Any idea how much camping is? Might bring down the pop up to stay in.

JR, I put this on my calendar, but that is in the middle of soccer season. Dang.

Trails are really nice. I've been to other events with them there.

There are sections that are rocky, lot of hill climbing. More dirt & mud then rocks. There are (were) at least 2 technically hard trails.

This place is a good time. A couple decently hard trails with more rocks then mud, if your looking for something hard make sure you get across the street to Skull creek and axle breaker.
Camping is all primitive in a field, for those with campers or motorhomes, but tents are allowed in amoungst the cabins and homes. They are in the middle of Paoli and French Lick so make sure you fuel up before you get there. French Lick has a gambling casino for those who are looking to make some money in the evenings.
Ive been out there on the fall run or clean ups at least a dozen times and really enjoy the property. By the way this is private property that we only get to wheel twice a year so if you get a chance give a try.

It appears that way based on the registration form that I was reading last week.

I think its only $35? but maybe wrong.

You going to go mike? Thanks for the insight, it sounds very cool.

JR are you going to be camping in the field with me in your popup?

Are there activities during the day at the ranch if the wife and kid didn't come wheeling?

mac 'she'll have the golf cart' gyvr

Mike is thinking very seriously about going to this. My son in law has been pushing to get my jeep back out in the world.

Im checking on the pricing for camping for those that asked.

Mac this is a working horse ranch thru the year but about the only thing other than riding the trails is a pool and i think it will be a little cold yet for that.

French Lick, West Baden is only about say 5 miles away, there is some touristy things to do there. The old motel is a nice tour, the trains run daily i believe for tours, and of course theres a little Casino. JR would be the one to tell Grace about that stuff seeing as he lives there.

I'll be "camping" at my house. (I live about 10 minutes away)

Their are plenty of things to keep the family busy in French Lick.

How much room is at your house? :)

5 miles is a long way to go on a golf cart :)

Who might be camping on site?

I really can't find anywhere any discussion about the event.

I am hoping to convince the wife to rent a camper for that weekend. If so, we will be camping, otherwise we'll be hotel "camping" somewhere. Not sure if they've improved the showers from 10 years ago, but they were always COLD showers back then.

I've done the trails there with everything from a 3" lifted Cherokee (otherwise stock,) and a lifted Samurai with 33" tires, rear locker. Never had a problem we couldn't get out of.

It would be nice to have electricity...but with the RV, that's not really a concern, just more fuel in the generator.

I've chatted with Annette Wheatcraft and she told me that they extended the early registration to March 28th.

If you are not an IFWDA member, it will cost you $35 more, and you will be an independent member of IFWDA. She said if there was an Indiana club that you could join, you, might be able to join IFWDA for cheaper.

So, the question is, are any of you guys members of IFWDA member clubs? I'm not necessarily looking to join, as I have way to many NAXJA obligations, but looking at options.

mac 'still no forum with this information' gyvr

I'm in. My buddy Chuck (chaz) is hopefully gonna get off work so he can come as well.

Looking to be down there Friday before the 5pm meet and greet.

mac 'hopefully topless wheeling' gyvr

My buddy chuck and I are in. The only thing that could change things is if the wife's Grandpa passes, he's day to day at the moment.

I took Thursday off from work so that we can leave whenever we are ready on Friday morning to head down there.

mac 'new wheeling spot' gyvr
