Tierods shouldnt be an issue, but the track bar will likely need to be shortened, just as one need a longer TB when lifting. Reach out to INANXJ, he races the lowered XJ above, Team PettyCash racing.
Hey bringing up an old thread but im building a Drift/Track Comanche with a 383 stroker chevy motor have all mounts and headers from novak and the front is my question
What did they do for track bar and tie rods because lowering it would offset the track wouldnt it put it out to one side to far?
maybe im crazy but intrested if anyone else has found any more info as i will continue digging as well
We lowered out XJ-R about 4-inches and were able to run the stock steering. We did however have to relocate the track rod and control arm brackets on the axle in order to keep the stock pieces. You could have custom parts but out way was free for us since it just took time and a welder.
