Higher Amp Alternator Upgrading

I am looking at the Mean Green Alternator, to repalce my stocker. Do I need to change the guage or is it plug and play? Don't want to fry anything. Thoughts or is there any modifications that need to be made for this? Those that have one, what kind of mileage does yours have, and how do you like it? Thanks for the help and or suggestions you offer.
