I know I seen it here before but I can't find it, I tried searching but after 1/2 hour of looking I decided to just ask the question
I broke the shifter park release detent link (aka, anal beads) on my 99 XJ
Since they don't make a replacement for this on the XJ, I think the one from a TJ will work.
Am I correct?
Or is there a aftermarket replacement link out there for the XJ's?

I've seen them on Ebay also but they all look like used ones.
I rather replace it with a new one then worry about a used one breaking while on the road/trail

I don't think that part takes a lot of load (and it's generally all in compression). The original one on my 92 is still working fine, so I don't see any real risk in buying a used one.

If you are still concerned, buy two and keep the other as an in-truck spare.
