oil filter for renix

Guys have any of you run an oil filter for a 87-91 Peuget 505 v6 in place of the stock type oil filter . All the spects are the same except the 505 filter is about 2 1/2 inches taller for more oil volume . The only other difference is the bypass the stock filter bypasses at 8 to 11 psi and the 505 filter bypasses at 24 psi.

The 4.0, especially when it's a little older, can easily drop to 20 psi at idle. Although it's probably pretty rare to have a filter clog that badly if you maintain it, I'd be a little hesitant to put in a filter whose bypass pressure is above that.
