metric bolt strength

i broke my track bar bolt. now i'm having quite a time finding a replacement bolt. the only 10mm x 70mm bolt i could find is ISO 8.8. is it safe to run this bolt? if not where can i find an ISO 10.9 bolt in 10mm x 70mm flavor? is it a dealer only item? i've already been to 5 hardware stores and 5 autopart stores. no one even knows about metric grades!

You are stuck with either a dealer or industrial fastner supplyhouse like J&L Supply or somethign of that nature...

Pep Boy's and Ace both carry 10.9 grade metric hardware!

Try MSC Direct, J&L Industrial Supply, Mr. Metric, or Fastenal. Fastenal has reasonable prices, and can get their hands on just about anything (I can even get SAE Grade 9 from them without too much trouble...)

Failing that, does ARP have anything in that size? I know they go by application, but some stuff crosses over, and their material exceeds pretty much every specification except their own...
