Anybody have the "decoder" to reveal what these numbers mean?

I blocked out part of my VIN (top line), but was curious about the rest of it.

I tried searching to no avail. I know on other Chrysler products that they reveal trim levels, options, etc. Mine is an 1988 Laredo so the link to the "Build Sheet" doesn't go back that far. Even the VIN decoders report incorrectly.

I'll post this in a few other forums so please forgive the duplicates.

When you say "link to the build sheet" does that mean the information you can get from a dealership?

If yes, well, then you have probably done all you can.

If no, then you should take your VIN to a Jeep/Chrysler dealership and ask if they can print out your build sheet for you.

Yes, that's the one.

The VIN decoders give me the basics. I was looking specifically at the other markings on the tag.

Thanks!!

Besides being an 4dr 88 Jeep Cherokee Laredo, 4.0l 4-speed trans, with two owners, an accident, and went to auction in 2008, built in Toledo?

No clue on the rest of the codes. They're for the individual packages, roof rack, mirrors, paint codes, towing package, etc.

Well, since that's not my actual VIN it's way off. :) The VIN decoders give me the basics. Was looking for more. I guess I've been watching Graveyard Carz too much. Worman can read those plates like a 2nd language.
