adaptive fuel, 1995,4.6 stroker

my adaptive fuel is 65%, as per the actron scanner reading.

i belive this is OBD1 for long term fuel trim.

can anybody tell me what 65% means, the scale what it should be ect.

any input appreciated.

Are you trying to tune a stroker using just the fuel trim readings?

I got a wide band and a adjustable fpr. Currently it gets 12.5 afr at wot up a hill.
Just wondering what the fuel trim scale is, how it works.
Also have an adjustable map but I’m not using it was wondering if I could get it “better” using both.

What is the afr at a flat cruise speed ?

In my world of obd1 tuning on V8's a 12.0 afr at wot is a goal along with it adding 4-6* of spark advance and having them both come in within 5 seconds.

ok so it is adding 65% more fuel. thanks for that its what i wanted to confirm.

thing is it runs at 12.6 AFR at WOT up a hill, so its pretty good in that sense.

might see how i go upping the fuel pressure and using an adjustable map sensor input voltage.

currently have bosch 703 injectors running at 42PSI on the rail(no vac).

I could not find much about this parameter, and if it realy was that simple- it's throwing in 65% more fuel i figured it would have thrown a code or at least have some pending.

thanks again for the input.
