what size threads are the holes in the wheel hub,My ignition has been stuck on for four days and I need to pull the wheel
 
I'd like to help but I'm not sure which column you have. It's likely the Chevy column used in the 87 and later, but I don't know for sure.
Here is a step by step that's pretty good for the Chev type column steering wheel removal.

If you need some tips or help, somebody will chime in. The Year XJ really helps narrow it down some.
If it's the typical Chevy column lock and the key is stuck, force doesn't help. A little wiggle and a little twist sometimes gets it to move. Moving it in and out (just a little) sometimes also helps. Wiggle twist, until the pins drop in the cylinder has worked for me in the past. Sometimes the rods for park or the igntion switch hang up, but it's usually the lock cylinder that's the problem.
