It makes me sad that I have one of those builds going where everything is covered in rust and tall grass growing in the background with 47 disassembled junker Jeeps in the background... lol

I want to post pictures of my rust free crap in a big nice shop. So, as soon as I get some paint on this stupid thing I'm pushing it in a corner somewhere so I can start building a shop.

I've made zero progress because I have so much going on right now but... Stump has made some good progress on the doubler.

Mainly because I wanted to switch to a passenger side upper link rather than the driver side. I'd also like to add about 2" of stretch. I sold the RK kit for $500, bought heims, DOM and steel for link mounts and still have $200 left over. lol

I could have modified the RK kit but it made more sense to sell and start from scratch.

Well, I haven't bought link material for the lowers yet. I can't decide if I want to splurge on 7075 or just buy cheap 2"x.25 wall DOM lowers.
 
makes sense. always good when you can sell stuff in order to upgrade and come out ahead.

i'd stick with DOM, but thats just me. i dont hit stuff fast enough to bend links.

I never bent my RK links but they're solid 2" links. Most guys I wheel with bend 2" .25" wall DOM links regularly. Granted, they wheel a lot more than me but I still don't want to have to do it twice.

Maybe I'll use 2.5" .5" wall.

Both my lower links are bent. I guess I wheel harder then you...... :rof: :greensmok
