Anybody know what this connector is for?

Sits beside the passenger side fender next to the battery.

Year of XJ would help, but judging from general location......Battery temp sensor for pad under the battery?

It's a '91.

Never heard of a bat temp sensor.

Temp sensor is 97 and up. So that's not it. What color is the wire? Can you test to see if it's 12v or ground?

I can test it.

Wire is brown with a black stripe.

I take that back. Wire is white with a brown stripe.

Ambient air temp sensor is working. Blinker is working.

I think I should get a better pic.

Yes, Horn. Same connector down on driver side by fan relay area for horn #2. HI and Low note I'd imagine.
