I e-mailed chrysler and asked for a build sheet and this is what it says

I think i have a D35c rear, is this telling me i have a chrysler 8.25?

yeah its telling you that you have the 8.25, look at the bottom of the diff, if its got a flat lip then its the 8.25 and if its round then its the turdy5. Also do you still got the link to email crysler for a build sheet?

Yeah, My plug says dana corp. and on the side of the axle it says 35C, so I don't have the 8.25. I don't think the previous owners would have switched it, any ideas?

Any ideas? Yeah - what year is your XJ? The older ones are more likely to get erroneous build sheets. C8.25 was intro'd in '91 so that narrows things down somewhat. If you need pics, go to http://www.yuccaman.com/jeep/gear1.html#axle

Here are a few intriguing notes from your build sheet:
KVXP - No description found - that's a big red flag there
SBAS - Power Rack and Pinion Steering - Rack+pinion in an XJ?
YGGA - 9 Additional Gallons of Gas - Ummm...where?

I'm guessing that you have a pre-Chrysler vehicle. As Yucca Man pointed out, a lot of the codes just don't make sense because Chrysler didn't do a very good job of bringing the AMC build codes into their system. It would help to know what year your XJ is.

I found my build sheet behind my drivers side front door pannel. Part of it was missing but i will look and see it any codes are the same. Mines a 93 also
