Hi Everybody:
I bought a 2000 XJ classic, I drove it home. Next day I started to do routine maint like compression test, I had to pull the coil pack, the area was kinda tight, tried to pull it out but it broke into 2 pieces.
Put a new one on, tried to start the engine but it wouldn't.
**Fuel press OK 49 PSI and stays above 30 PSI more than 5 min.
**all fuses and relays checked, OK.
CPS checked found defective, new one installed no help.

Wish some one can guide me to the next step in trouble shooting, I appreciate it.

Put your finger on the coil tip whilst someone is cranking! Good volt indicator by spaz!
I relocated my coil to a much better place after ripping the AC out.
Can you do the code trick with the ignition on your model. Check the ignition fuse.

Use your OBD-II trouble code reader to check for any current or pending Trouble Codes.

Obviously, suspect damage to the coil wires/connectors.

Suspect any non genuine Jeep coils or non genuine Jeep OBD computer engine sensors.
