So I have my stroker getting ready to go back in but I've hit a snag. The pilot bearing doesn't fit in the flywheel. Here is a pic of the flywheel.

The bearing I have is about the same size as the silver ring in the crank. It almost looks like the last bearing was removed but the shell was left in there. I have another bearing on order that one of the guys on jeep strokers said I needed.

Tell me if it is supposta look like that or if I need to remove the silver ring or if the bearing I'm getting tomorrow will be that much thinner of a body.

IIRC there are 3 different bearings,2 are roller bearings like the "silver ring" and one is the bronze bushing. It also depends on the size of the pilot on the input shaft.

I used a bronze bushing for a CJ that matched the crank and pilot

Yes that looks like a bushing still in there. From what I've seen in the past (not on jeep motors) most of the time manual transmissions have the bearings while automatics use a bushing.
