turn steering knuckles?

Could anyone tell me if it is necessary to cut and turn the steering knuckles on a HP 44 (76 F-150) I want to leave it full width. If I don't need to turn, what should I set my pinion angle and caster at. I am going to do the install this week with 6" lift and mid length arms. I tryed a search but did'nt find answer to my specific question. Kevin

make sure the pinion is aiming at the xfer case
