How can I identify if I have axle upgrade??

When I bought my 89 Cherokee the owner said he thought the owner before him put an upgraded axle kit in the Diffs. It has a dana 30 and 35.

How can i verify wether or not the axles have been upgraded?

What kind of up grade?
You will probably have to pull the diff cover and look.

If the axle shafts are upgraded then you might see some emblem underneath the center of the wheel (at the very outside of the shaft), in which case you have to remove a wheel to check it out if you have any kind of centercap.
