If I could attach photos, I would. My son is 5 months old today.

Edit : oh, hey look, I did it. Don't know why it's sideways though.

Thanks John! Cool pic of Terry and Ramsey you and me. It's been too long.

Looks like you moved to AZ - congrats!

Hey man where you hang your hat now days?

Still in western WA, working for the Navy - (no, not a contractor, a real government employee, but no I don't wear a uniform). Civilian service, engineering maintenance on mostly nuclear parts of aircraft carriers and submarines.

All the normal stuff - bought a house in '15, sold it, girlfriend and I bought the current house in '18, married in 20, kid in March of 22.

Built a 36x48 shop in 19. Built a pro-mod comp car in 17, didn't compete this year, but did fairly well in years past.

Been working on this commando project - https://irate4x4.com/threads/project-glacier-cold-beer-a-67-jeepster-commando.184725/

Excited to get the little guy out on some forest service roads here when I get that turd going.

There are two of them >2 hours away.
Some times it is nice to enjoy the open country with out having to pay money.
A friend knows of a nice public road trail, we are going the weekend of the 17th.

October?

mac ‘Texass wheelin’ gyvr

Took the 98 on Broken Arrow trail this morning. With the swaybar discoed and 20 psi in the tires, seemed to do just as well as the 99, even with just the factory limited slip

Very cool.

Dana 35s rule!

I'm curious, does the ABS still work on that? Kid sister is 15 and saving go for a car, so far a Cherokee had been the most reasonable car she's asked me about (80s Benz and 66 Fairlane sounded cool but deathtraps). I'm not too opposed to her getting an XJ, and honestly would love to work on a project with her like that but want her to drive something with ABS.

Yeah still original axles, ABS works fine. 242 tcase would be something to look for too, just leave it in full time 4wd and won't be spinning out if it rains.
I believe the later ABS systems are pretty reliable, Renix ones not so much.
I know it's not working in my 90, but haven't even looked at it yet

Good job!
I guess I'll have to keep posting random AZ wheeling pics after that, to keep this thread alive

Or I can do random AZ wildlife pics, this guy was trying to sneak into my shop the other night

Went to the badlands this weekend with Chuck, Nick Jonard, Jon Fabsits and a few others. Overall good trip, ran into Wade for a bit in the quarry. Highlights of the trip included a random drunk guy that wandered over and made chuck look like an AA counselor, and Chuck attempting to night wheel, which ended with half a tree stuck in his roof slider.

Also managed to tweak my rock slider coming off a ledge, which pushed up my a pillar and now my passenger door wont open. I can either cut out the rock slider, move it up to mini boat sides and reattach to questionable cage, or go all out and new tube on the whole thing.

No pics?

I didn't get any picture of the shenanigan's but here are the few i took.

Also, looking at possibly heading towards your territory in the near future John. Hopefully I can get this gig without a bachelors degree. If it all works out I'd be headed out at the end of November, which i hear is prime AZ wheeling weather.
