Hey all thanks for letting me join!! I came across a relatively good shape 97 xj with a rebuilt 4.0 and AW4 for $400!! Super stoked. But it’s a project....
The motor and trans need some wiring help as they are out of a 98 not a 97, the trans harness connectors are different and have to be updated, as well as the OSS HARNESS and sensor, as well as a few other things (which any help would be great!!!).
Does anyone have the schematic of both model years of the AW4 and the 4.0L?? Hoping I can get rid of the dreaded “manual shift” automatic and feel comfortable and safe enough to drive this thing!!!
I know I need the tone ring from the 97 and the sensor installed in the 98 to get the speedo and TCU to work right, but any and all help is greatly appreciated!!!
