I was told a little more about it, the motor is made by dayton (Graingers) the machine is made by craftsman and the belt cover is made by delta Rockwell

Does it go any slower or is it single speed?

Unfortunately single speed. If I wasn't lazy I'd look in my Grainger's catalog and find me a slower motor. It doesn't spin at 1725, there is some reduction in the pulleys. At 1700 rpm that thing would rattle the bench apart :gee:
