Anyone know the part number for the Illumination bulbs (Speedometer) in the dash of a 1997 XJ?

I believe they are 194's - for the large ones. They're used in enough places you should just get a box of them anyhow.
Get some 37's and 74's while you're at it - and once you're into the panel, shotgun the repair and change them all. They're just enough of a pain to not want to do the job too often, and you're there anyhow... There are some uses for the larger 194 bulbs in other areas - you can save the working ones "for emergencies" or for indicators that are easier to reach. I think the 194 bulb is also used for some aftermarket auxiliary lighting, so they do come in handy...
