Quick ATF Question

I searched and am amazed how many ATF threads there are.

I have a 95, 4lt auto with a factory tranny cooler. If I pull the tranny drain plug, how much ATF will come out? I need to buy some to refill it but I don't want to over guesstimate or worse under guesstimate.

Depends on how much you actually have in there.

Right now, all of it is in there.

if you just drain it from the drain plug you will lose about 5 1/2 quarts
