simple question about door window trim

Did the later models have rubber window trim, or was it still the polished aluminum stuff with black-out

The trim on my 91 is shot and I would rather replace it with rubber instead of pulling the pieces and painting them.

All rubber on the late models.

I would love to be able to replace the trim on my 1991 and 1989 windshield glass with rubber instead of chrome
